Actor, Singer, Dancer (she/her)
Hi I’m Emma!
I’m a queer adoptee born in China, raised in Durham, NC. I grew up performing in theatre, film, and tv, in addition to taking voice lessons, acting classes, and ballet. I’m a proud graduate of Boston Conservatory at Berklee where I received a BFA in Musical Theatre and am currently based in New York City.
Recent credits include Connie Wong in the international company of A Chorus Line directed by Baayork Lee, and Courtyard Dancer in Descendants: The Rise of Red choreographed by Ashley Wallen.
I aspire to create and participate in work that advocates for marginalized communities in order to inspire reformative and restorative justice and shed light on the human condition through a lens of empathy. As an avid reader and creator, when I’m not performing you can find me baking, cooking, writing, sewing, or reading in a hammock.
My passion for social justice and dismantling oppressive systems has inspired me to get involved in political organization and activism. During the 2020 election cycle, I joined the Iowa Democrats as a remote part time Intern, in addition to serving remotely as a Recruitment Captain for Planned Parenthood Votes Maine as well as volunteering with Planned Parenthood Votes North Carolina. In 2021, I worked on volunteer efforts for COVID-19 vaccination clinics and was an active part of the Boston Medical Reserve Corps. While living in Atlanta post graduation I was a columnist for the Georgia Voice, an LGBTQ+ biweekly newspaper based in Atlanta, Georgia.
