About Emma...

Emma was raised in Durham, North Carolina. She is a performing artist and graduate of Boston Conservatory at Berklee where she received a degree in Musical Theatre, and is currently based in NYC. She grew up performing, doing local and school productions while continuing to take voice lessons, acting workshops, and ballet classes, and has appeared in an international tour, summer stock and regional theatre, national commercials, and movies.

In addition to her training at The Boston Conservatory at Berklee she has studied at American Ballet Theatre’s summer program and the UNCSA summer dance program.

Her passion for social justice and dismantling oppressive systems has inspired her to get involved in political organization and activism. During the 2020 election cycle, Emma joined the Iowa Democrats as a remote part time Intern, in addition to serving remotely as a Recruitment Captain for Planned Parenthood Votes Maine as well as volunteering with Planned Parenthood Votes North Carolina. She also worked on volunteer efforts for COVID-19 vaccination clinics and was an active part of the Boston Medical Reserve Corps. She was a columnist for the Georgia Voice, an LGBTQ+ biweekly newspaper based in Atlanta, Georgia.

She aspires to create and participate in work that advocates for marginalized communities in order to inspire reformative and restorative justice and shed light on the human condition through a lens of empathy. When she’s not performing you can find her baking, cooking, writing, or reading in a hammock.
